Strategi Belajar Keterampilan Berbicara Bahasa Arab Dilihat Dari Pola Pikir Mahasiswa

Abstract
This study aimed at obtaining an empirical description of the relationship between patterns of thinking skills of students with learning strategies of Arabic speaking skill they use. The data were collected through observation, interview, field notes, and questionnaire.
The results showed that the thought patterns of students majoring in Arabic at the State College for Islamic Studies of Jurai Siwo Metro can be classified into four thought patterns, namely: concrete-sequential, random-concrete, abstract-sequential, and random-abstract, and learning strategies of Arabic speaking skills used by students majoring in Arabic consists of cognitive, memory, meta-cognitive, compensation, affective, and social strategies.
There is a close relationship between the selections or use of the learning strategies of Arabic speaking skill with student’s thought patterns. Judging from the pattern of thinking, students tend to use cognitive, memory, and meta-cognitive strategies stronger compared to compensation, affective, and social strategies in Arabic speaking skill learning.
